Brad's email June 2, 2014

Hey all!

So this week ended up being a pretty good week! We did a lot and got lots done! We got to do a lot with the non-members and have had a great time working with them, but my goal for the ward that I am in currently is to get to know all sects of the church and all quorums! So far its been great!

I have got to know all the members really well! This past weekend we went to father and sons! (we didn't get to stay the night) but we played football with all the little kids and adults and it was a blast! We went to a place right up Black Canyon called Roystone hot springs! (we didn't get to get in the hot springs either) haha, but we had a great time! The next morning we went back up there so we could go on a mountain bike ride with the deacons! It was a 22 miler and it was awesome! The first 4 miles it climbed 2000 feet! It was war intense (Shawn-Prepare yourself for when I'm home), but luckily for me I have been in bike areas and my legs are in good shape! It was a great time and to be able to talk to the deacons and share with them my testimony with them and teach them a little lesson about enduring to the end! It was a good little ride and we got to know the deacons really well!

This past Monday we got to take an investigator fishing and that turned out great! We were able to get to know him really well and this next week we will take him hiking, but it was a fun time!

This week we picked up a new investigator and he is solid!! He knows so much already! We taught him at my ward mission leaders home and  the spirit was so strong. We asked him to be baptized and he accepted and he will be getting baptized on the 17th along with another investigator! The first one's name is Brandon and he is 18 and the second is 52 and he is a solid guy.  We just have to get him to stop smoking, so that will be a little tough!

We have been doing lots of service work. Installing more sprinklers and mowing lawns and pulling weeds and fixing cars, laying down sod and lots more landscaping! It's been a lot of hard work, but at least we are making an impact in the ward and them seeing us working is a really good thing! The work is progressing so much and it is so nice to always be doing work all day! Right now we are working with a part member family and it has been going well and he seems to like our lessons. He has a son right now in Fiji and so we have been teaching him what his son is teaching other people!

Well, thats about it this week! It's been a great week and we have had lots of success!

Love you guys,

Elder Riley
